Supporting Us
Although we have some grant-funding, a lot of what we do is made possible by the generosity of local people who either give their time to work in the library or who help us in other ways.
If you are interested in volunteering your time, you can find out more on our Volunteering page.
But if you don’t have time to volunteer, here are some other ways you can help support the library:
- Donate books – thanks to the generosity of local people, we now have over 2200 new titles that have been given to the library. This helps increase the range of titles available to customers. We would particularly like more children’s books to update our stock.
- Donate good quality second-hand items for us to sell to raise funds – this has enabled us to raise significant funds for the library.
- Donate jigsaws – our jigsaw library started because a few jigsaws were donated for sale and they were spotted by a jigsaw enthusiast! New jigsaws are always gratefully received.
Most importantly, we need you to come and use the library!
If you’re not a member yet, come along and join – it’s free! Or come along and use the facilities on offer. You could just come and meet with friends over a tea or coffee - and don't forget the homemade cake!
